The Life of a Man - in 45 Seconds

Short films are tough - given this short story lives only 45 seconds, I think director Chris Milk achieved an awesome feat. Considering the self-imposed limitation, I find most telling the select moments he chooses to reward. (via @rafaeldante)

The Bridge

Replace the moose and bear with a donkey and elephant and you'd have a perfect metaphor for American politics today. I'm sure Ting Tey didn't have that in mind when he made this awesome animated short; but it fits.

Hundreds of Tourist Photos Weaved into One

Media_httpapiningcom8_lhgwh

This awesome photographic series by Corinne Vionnet, entitled Photo Opportunities, combines hundreds of tourist snaps into a single image -- reflecting in the end result an incredible consistency in the amateur, opportunistic eye of travelers looking to capture their latest treasure of culture cred. Perhaps, if I could break away from staring for a moment, there's an insight to be found here about our shared perception of idyllic forms, collective memories, the golden ratio... maybe; but I can't help but to lose myself in these painterly composites for now.
